DESCRIPTION
Part time non-tenure track lectureships with the Warren College Writing Program at UC San Diego will be available for the 2018-19 academic year. Appointments vary from one to three quarters. Instructors will teach WCWP 100, an academic writing course for transfer students. Our ideal candidate will have a Ph.D., M.F.A. or other degree in Rhetoric and Composition, English/Literature or related fields. This candidate will also have demonstrated significant experience teaching undergraduate writing courses, and that has demonstrated a commitment to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in higher education.

Warren College Writing Program courses are designed to encourage the intellectual habits and practices that will give students a solid foundation for success in writing at the university and beyond. Our courses teach students, through intensive practice, to read critically and write academic arguments. These seminar style classes engage students in the scholarly practices necessary for writing in the academy. Students receive individual feedback not only from their instructors but also from their peers.
